Did You Pick the Right Size Storage Unit?

July 17, 2014

Here at Loknstore, we go out of our way to ensure we provide you with all the help and advice you could need when you are looking to rent a storage unit. We understand how difficult it can be to look at a pile of stuff and assess how big or small a unit you need to put it all in. By the way, it’s a lot easier to assess the size you need if you stack everything neatly first. This way you can actually measure the floor space you would need to get everything into.

Remember you’ll need some room to move around as well if you want to make life a little easier for yourself. If you don’t do this you could end up taking everything out every time you want to access something right at the back of the unit! That’s never a fun task.

You also need to think about whether you will need to grow into your storage unit. If you know exactly what you need to store in there and you’re never likely to add anything to it in the near future, you can get the exact size you need. However, if you know you’ll have more things to put in there very soon, it’s a good idea to get a slightly larger storage space straight away.

Of course, we don’t hold you down to a long contract or a specific size of a storage unit. This means you can upscale or downscale whenever you need to, subject to the right-sized unit being available of course. So if you think you might need additional space but you don’t need it at the moment, start with whatever you do need and increase your space later on if it suits you to do so.
