LoknStore is a self-storage company, with stores based across the south of England. Trading since 1995, when the first store was opened in Horsham, by entrepreneur Andrew Jacobs. Self-storage units are used by many people in a community including homeowners, renters, students, people away traveling, and business users. The business model has now been copied by many well-known storage companies, and they have become a common sight in many towns and cities. Most storage facilities are a bright colour with each company having its own distinctive brand - LoknStore's is bright orange. Inside a storage centre, are a number of steel storage units in a variety of different sizes. This enables the centre staff to offer the correct size unit to suit the customer's individual needs. Each unit has its own padlock, which the customer holds the key to - only the customer has access if that is their wish. Many business users leave a key with us so that the store can accept deliveries on their behalf. This also includes a free forklift service, whereby LoknStore staff will load or unload a delivery (with prior arrangement) for the customer. This can even be completed if the customer is offsite.
