Do you have a large collection of books that require a huge amount of storage space in your home? If your answer is ‘yes,’ I still bet it’s not for as many books as this!
This 560 sqft private home in Japan was specially built for the owner of a gigantic collection of books. Shelving systems cover nearly every spare wall, and space, so as to accommodate all his books. The house was designed for the owner by the Kazuya Morita Architecture Studio and has a dome-like wooden roof with clay walls to keep the huge collection of books at the correct humidity levels. We love this book storage system but we wouldn’t fancy doing the dusting in this house!
