The David Netto designed storage crib

When the baby finally arrives, parents need to use all the available space options in the house, and nursery – so how about this storage crib?

Anyone who is a parent will know how much space a baby’s belongings take up. That nursery that had so much storage space, and looked so cute before the baby arrived – now looks like a tornado has blown through. Nappies, toys, and clothes all over the place and seemingly nowhere to put it all. It's one of those crucial moments in family life; when storage space in one room becomes so very important.

If you are going to make the most out of every inch of space in a nursery, you can’t go wrong by starting with this storage crib – The Modern – which is manufactured by McLaren, but designed by an interior designer, architectural historian, and world-renown; Davis Netto. Made from chunky ebonised ash, this playful but chic – in the tradition of French 1930s – the piece has enough room underneath for three storage boxes that can be filled with any of the baby’s belongings. Netto has also designed a range of other nursery furniture which has led to him being described as the ‘Father of modern baby’, and we love his storage crib.
