LoknBlog is always on the lookout for novel storage ideas and we’ve found many furniture based items in the past. Today we return to the ‘storage bed.’
Storage beds aren’t a new thing in the furniture world but the BoConcept Storage Bed is slightly different from the others on the market. Most bed designers stick to the same tried and tested method: bed base/mattress idea, but at BoConcept they have pushed the idea further. A practical storage idea that will keep the bedroom tidier and provide important and valuable storage space has been found by taking inspiration – it appears – from a car bonnet. The mattress is pushed up by gas struts to make it easy to gain access to the storage compartment below, hidden in what would normally be the bed-base.
Alternatives to the storage bed are, as we all know – throwing everything under the bed to wallow in dust or chucking it into the bottom of the wardrobe to be lost in the Bermuda Triangle of shoes, handbags, and other odds and sods.
